English meaning of the word “Dharma” is not a Religion.

There are many countries in the world and almost every country has its own culture and language, similarly India also has its own cultural heritage and its own language, and in India there is a saying that “Language has emotions”.

The most spoken language in India is “Hindi” and the most learned language in India is “English” which is not of India, since the time the British enslaved India, the “English” language also ruled over India. This had started happening because our ancestors liberated our country from the British but their language “English” is still ruling India.

And to learn the words of this “English” language, there is a book which is called “Hindi to English Dictionary”, from this book we translate all the “words” of Hindi language into “words” of English language (like Hindi The word “Pani” is called “Water” in English) and it is very good too but we have got so lost in the English translation of our language that we have translated all the words of our Hindi language into English without thinking anything, come. India has its own customs which may match some other country but not completely. Like “Shaadi” which is called “Marriage” in English but here in our marriage there are “seven rounds, turmeric ceremony, mehndi ceremony” which do not happen in any other country, similarly there are some such words which cannot be translated in any other language. Festivals celebrated in countries like – Diwali, Raksha Bandhan, Holi, Baisakhi, Eid, Christmas etc. are not found in other languages. You cannot translate all these words into any other language because the culture from which these words came is the same. Not found in other cultures.

In English there is a word “Religion” which asks you which group you belong to, at which “Holy Place” you remember your “favored”, in Islam there is a word “Mazahab” which asks you which group you belong to. At which “Holy Place” do you remember your “favored”, Sanatan does not ask anyone which group you belong to, at which “Holy Place” do you remember your “favored” because in “Sanatan” there is no desire to divide people. There is no word, the same Sanatan which started from “Sanskrit” language and with the development of the language today is spoken in “Hindi” whom the whole world calls “Hindu”, “Sanatan is the truth”.

Use of the word “Dharma” in our Vedas and Puranas:-

• It is the “dharma” of children to serve their parents.
• Respecting elders is the “dharma” of the younger ones.
• Your “dharma” is to always support the truth.

In Sanatan, walking on the path of truth has been called “Dharma”, there is no definition of any group in Sanatan, there is no word to divide human beings. In Sanatan, it is said that the whole world is our family.

Sanatan always teaches to follow the path of “Dharma”, further you have to think whether “Religion” or “Mazhab” are the translations of “Dharma” or not.
